2020-2021 Click on the button below to access the syllabus for AP Studio Art. Additionally, at the end of the year each student will complete a Professional Packet including a resume, cover letter, artist statement, and elevator speech. Documents that prepare you prior to taking the course are located below, such as the Summer Assignments, AP Tutorials, and Elements & Principles buttons. Please review and study these documents as you will be expected to know them in a very detailed manner. They help you understand the course and the expectations. |
Sketchbook Packets & Goodies NO Sketchbook Homework for the Online 20-21 year. This may change. Sketchbook drawings are the best way to practice drawing. Please click the button below to bring up your Sketchbook assignments for the year. There is also an example of how to label your SB drawings correctly. Please draw for a minimum of 30 minutes for full credit. I grade SB packets based on completion and not natural talent. Also below are the links to purchase a sweatshirt from the 19/20 school year as well as an iPhone case! |
The Portfolio Exam As a committed artist and student you should be looking at the College Board website consistently. To view examples of portfolios click the buttons below (Drawing or 2D). Please utilize the other buttons below in order to prepare for your AP Studio Art class. Note that the AP exam has changed starting in the 19/20 school year. It will no longer include the Breadth section. The AP Checklist button will bring up a document that goes into detail about the portfolio. The AP Rubric must be filled out with each artwork that is submitted. |
